Currently in 11th grade.
I am currently hired as co-inventor for an energy-related project that is soon to be patent-pending.
I have been interested in electronics since preschool, used computers on a regular basis before I could read or write, and started programming in 3rd grade. Since then I have had a
14-computer network in a garage (in elementary school), designed and built various
projects (beginning around 5th grade), and currently run my own
web server, on which this site is hosted. In June, 2006, I became a registered amateur radio operator with the callsign
KC0WYS in the Technician class and launched a
high-altitude balloon to space the same year.
Unlike many who have similar interests as myself, I also enjoy other things outside the realm of computers and technology. I played soccer and made the JV team despite a foot injury (Plantar Fasciitis) in 9th grade. However I was eventually forced to quit due to its longevity (after sitting out because of it all through 8th and 9th grade). I decided that I was too far behind in soccer to take it up again, so now I run for my high school's cross country team and track team. In 10th grade a partner and I won 2nd place in the Missouri state National History competition for our documentary on the British explorer Ernest Shackleton and made it to the national level. Other pasttimes include skiing (snow & water), scuba diving, backpacking, travelling, digital videography and photography, and anything else I haven't remembered to include.
