Important Academic Awards Won
Proposed the idea of synthesis of anti ulcer drug from cigarette butts which won first at the event Eureka-the paper presentation event at Kshitij 2008-the technical festival of IIT-Kharagpur.
Proposed the idea of metal ion insertion in polyethenes to increase its biodegradability. The concept won first prize at the chemical engineering technical festival of IIT Bombay-Azeotrope 2006.
Among the top ten out of the 140 teams which participated in Industry Defined Problems (IDP) of General Electric (G.E) at IIT Chennai.One of the two teams in the top 10 who were able to find a solution to industrial problem put forward by G.E. on analyzing the quality of food stuffs by non-invasive means.

Among the top 10 teams for the ‘2nd National Convention on Energising Entrepreneurship Through Innovation’ which was held at BITS Pilani –Pilani Campus on 2nd and 3rd of November 2007.

Area of Interest- Application of novel techniques like Supercritical Fluid Extraction in Pharmaceutical Industry.
